Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History has become the most visited museum in the country and a scientific research organization whose collection is unrivaled anywhere in the world. Splice designed the 2010-2015 Strategic Plan, Knowledge for a Sustainable Future, and developed a visual theme of “relationships.” By combining seemingly unrelated images—juxtaposing past and present, living and dead, plant and animal, etc.—we were able to emphasize the interrelationship of everything.
